Coronavirus: Stamford Town Council suspend all meetings

A town council has suspended all of its meeting as a result of the coronavirus outbreak.

Stamford Town Council has postponed meetings with 'immediate effect' from today (March 20).

A statement on the council's website read: "In line with Government guidelines, with immediate effect all meetings have been suspended by Stamford Town Council for the safety of members and officers.

"The town hall will be closed to the public until further notice.

"It is greatly appreciated that, for many, this is an anxious time.

"Please call the Evergreen Care Trust on 01780 765900, who will try and offer as much support as can be given.

"This is a fast moving situation and further updates will be provided."

Bourne Town Council has also suspended meetings.
