Council tax raised by nearly 5 per cent in Rutland
Rutland County Council has raised its tax by 4.99 per cent.
Councillors voted unanimously to approve the 2019-20 budget of £36.4 million.
Almost half of spending (£17.5million) will be on care for vulnerable adults and children. A typical Band D property will now receive a £2,043.20 bill.
This compares with £1,935.87 in 2018-19.
