VOLUNTEERS are celebrating after a town has reached the final of a best kept town competition.
Market Deeping has made it through to the final of the Lincolnshire Best Kept Small Town competition.
Judges are due to make their final inspection of the town in August during a surprise visit.
One of the people involved in the scheme is Market Deeping town councillor Pauline Redshaw.
She is now appealing to people in the town to keep it tidy during August to help Market Deeping’s chances of winning.
Coun Redshaw said: “We are very excited and pleased.
“We hope that they will keep the town tidy - we must keep our standards up.”
