Adam Barker and Jamie North appear in court charged with murdering Neil Corby in Oakham

TWO men have appeared at Loughborough Magistrates Court on Saturday morning charged with murdering Neil Corby in Oakham.

Adam Barker, 33, of Willoughby Gardens, Oakham, and Jamie North, 33, of Glen Drive, Oakham, were remanded in custody. No pleas were entered.

The pair are accused of murdering Mr Corby, 42, on Wednesday, September 19.

North is also charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm to another man.

Barker is also charged with unlawful wounding causing grievous bodily harm to another man.

Magistrates will send the case to Leicester Crown Court when they sit in Loughborough on Monday.

Two other men arrested in connection with the murder, aged 26 and 47, were released without charge yesterday (Friday) evening.

Mr Corby's body was found in a ground floor flat in Gaol Street on Thursday morning.

Police had been called to the flat at about 7.30am on Thursday where they made the discovery.

Gaol Street was cordoned off until 2.30pm while officers carried out inquiries.
