Police have appealed for witnesses after a woman was groped in Stamford.

The victim was walking her dog on a footpath between Selwyn Road and Churchill Road at about 4pm on Friday, last week, when a man approached her. He grabbed her breast before running off in the direction of Edward Road.

The man is described as slim, white, about 18 years old, between 5ft and 5ft 7in tall with short, dark hair, parted to one side with a high hairline.

He was wearing a pair of black trousers, black shoes, a white T-shirt with some form of logo or motif to its right hand side and a green jumper or sweatshirt. It is though this could be a uniform of some sort.

Police are trying to trace one potential witness to the alleged assault in particular. She is described as a slim white woman in her twenties wearing a blue dress, walking a three-legged spaniel.

If you are this woman, or know her, or if you were walking along the footpath between Selwyn Road and Churchill Road at the time call 101 and ask for PC 276 Bob Topliss at Grantham Police Station.
