POLICE are warning homeowners to ensure their doors and windows are locked after burglars stole mobile phones and a laptop.
Thieves got into a house in Armley Grove, Stamford, on Tuesday night last week through an unlocked patio door.
They stole two mobile phones, a laptop and satellite navigation system.
Sector Insp Gary Stewart said: “We are seeing across the south of the county an increase in burglaries where people have left doors and windows unlocked.
“Opportunist thieves are patrolling residential areas on the look out for properties that are easy targets. Please lock up at night.”
