Boston man charged with Greatford burglary is bailed

A MAN charged with burgling one home, trying to break in to another and stealing a van has been granted bail.

Joseph William Smith, 20, of Redstone Caravan Park, Boston, has been charged with stealing jewellery and electrical goods from a house in Carlby Road, Greatford, on August 21.

He is also charged with an attempted burglary in Aberdeen Close, Stamford and the theft of a recovery truck worth £6,000 from Little Casterton on the same day.

Smith appeared at Grantham Magistrates Court today (Wednesday) and was granted bail on the condition that he lives and sleeps at his address in Boston and does not leave his home between 3pm and 1pm. He will appear at Spalding Magistrates Court for a committal hearing on October 18.
