Helicopter search for garden centre burglars

THE police helicopter was called to Greetham Garden Centre in the early hours of this morning.

The helicopter was called to the village at 12.25am following reports that a burglary that was taking place at the centre in Oakham Road, Greetham.

It scoured the area for 10 minutes but found nothing and left at 12.35am.

Police believe the break-in happened at about midnight. Some money was stolen but it is not yet known how much.

Rutland police commander Kam Mistry said: “We believe there would have been a vehicle involved so we are asking anyone who saw something at that time to come forward.”
