RECRUITMENT evenings are being held for people interested in becoming special constables for Lincolnshire Police.

If you can spare at least four hours a week you could volunteer to make their community safer.

A police spokesman said: “Becoming a volunteer special constable is a great way for you to make a difference in your community, whilst at the same time developing your personal skills and experiences.”

Recruitment events will be held at Grantham police station on Thursday, September 29, at 7pm; Bourne police station on Thursday, October 6, at 7pm and Spalding police station on Thursday, October 13, at 7pm.

There is no need to book but people are asked to arrive at the police station reception a few minutes early.
