Police officers have pledged to crackdown on people who drink and drive over the Christmas period.

Lincolnshire police is supporting the annual national December campaign, which was launched by the Association of Chief Police Officers last week and will see police forces throughout the UK working hard throughout the festive season to ensure the roads are kept safe for everyone.

Police reiterated the dangers of drink-driving and said they will be focusing on the consequences of drink driving, people driving the morning after a night of drinking and having designated drivers.

As part of the December crackdown there will be more officers out on the streets and more checks will be made at random locations at any time of the day or night.
