Stolen conifers found in Stamford allotment during crime prevention session

Almost 30 stolen trees were found by police during a session on preventing allotment crime.

A total of 27 conifers that had been stolen from a home in Conduit Road in Stamford were discovered by a police community support officer in an Uffington Road allotment today (Wednesday).

The PCSO was at the allotment teaching gardeners how to prevent thefts.

Following the discovery a man admitted the theft and was given a police caution.
