Teenager severs his finger on fence spike

A teenager cut off his finger on a fence spike in Bourne in the early hours of Sunday.

The 17-year-old boy was injured when climbing over a fence in Abbey Road, Bourne.

Fire services, police and ambulance were called to the incident at about 2am.

Firefighters released the young man from behind the fence so he could be treated by paramedics.

The firefighters also assisted in locating the end of the man’s severed finger.

The casualty was taken to Peterborough City Hospital by ambulance.

Police said no arrests were made.
