Teenagers terrorize disabled woman on mobility scooter in Bourne

Police are appealing for witnesses to an incident which left a 60 year-old disabled woman in shock.

The woman, who was riding a mobility scooter, was stopped by two teenagers outside the Butterfield Centre, on the junction of Meadowgate, North Street, and North Road on Sunday at about 6pm.

The two boys, described as being between 16 to 17 years old, wearing blue jeans and black hooded tops, asked the woman to turn her handbag out.

The boys did not steal anything but left the woman in a state of shock.

Police said: “This type of incident is very rare in Bourne, so we are very interested to identify the people responsible.”

Anyone who you saw anything or may know who is responsible for this incident should call police on 101, quoting incident 342 and pass on the information.
