Thousands of pounds worth of goods stolen in seven burglaries

SEVEN business and agricultural buildings have been broken into in Rutland in the past week.

The Ram Jam services on the A1, Oakham Pets’ Corner in Rutland Village, Ashwell, a disused building in Barleythorpe Road, two sheds owned by Voluntary Action Rutland, a barn in Great Easton Road, Caldecott, and Morcott Service Station on the A47 have all been targeted since Friday last week.

Lead worth £1,000, tools worth £5,000 and £3,500 worth of cigarettes have been stolen.
