Vandalism continues in Exton despite extra police patrols

Have your say

VANDALISM in a village has not ceased despite extra measures being taken by police.

People living in Campden Close, Exton, say they have more cars scratched and nails left in the road. One homeowner has even put a CCTV camera on her home.

It follows weeks of other incidents including tyres punctured, a letter box set on fire and chemicals poured over a vehicle.

Isobel Corby moved to the close in February from elsewhere in the village. She said: “We have had enough and something has to be done about it.

“We have had £130 damage done to our car so far and have spent another £100 on our own CCTV camera.”

Police says they cannot do anything unless hard evidence is found.

Villagers are going to start a petition for a CCTV camera and present it to Rutland County Council.
