Woman accused of Oakham stabbing appears in court

A woman has appeared in court charged with stabbing a man and drink driving.

Sarah Lawrence-Dexter, 40, of Grampian Way, Oakham, appeared at Leicester Crown Court earlier today (Wednesday).

She is charged with causing grievous bodily harm and drink driving after in incident where a man was stabbed at a flat in Derwent Drive, Oakham, on February 4.

The man, who is 47, was airlifted to Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham for treatment for a wound to his lower abdomen, but has since been allowed home.

Yesterday’s hearing was adjourned and Lawrence-Dexter will appear at the court again on March 17. She has not yet entered a plea.
