Cupid's Carnival puts on the show in Stamford

Stamford performance group Caberesque for Cancer has raised £360 for brain cancer charity Charlotte’s BAG with their show, Cupid’s Carnival.

Performed at Mama Liz’s Voodoo Lounge, a kaleidoscope of colourful acts including belly dancers, drag queens, cabaret performers, a mind reader, poet and burlesque acts strutted their stuff in front of a packed audience.

Cabaresque for Cancer is an annual fundraiser created by directors Lucy Slessor after a friend died of breast cancer. She felt a show in memory of brain cancer victim Lucy Eades of Brighton was a natural progression.

Money raised for Charlotte’s BAG funds scientific research into glioblastoma at King’s College Hospital, London.
