Date set for East Leicestershire and Rutland Clinical Commissioning Group AGM

The East Leicestershire and Rutland Clinical Commissioning Group will hold its annual general meeting on September 8.

The meeting gives people the chance to ask the group’s governing body what their NHS has been doing over the past year, and find out what its plans are for the next 12 months.

It will take place st Stamford Court in Manor Road, Oadby, from 4pm to 8pm.

The group’s interim chairman Dr Richard Palin said: “The annual general meeting is one of the most important events we hold each year. It gives everyone the chance to hear what their local NHS has been doing over the past year and to learn something about what we plan for the coming year.

“It’s also the chance for local people to give their views and ask questions directly to the Governing Body and have those views listened to and questions answered. So we really hope as many people as possible will be able to attend.

“Through our Summer of Listening initiative we are also investigating how to use a number of new and innovative ways to engage with the public, listen to their ideas and suggestions and keep them informed about the group’s latest developments and plans. We have are carrying out a summer-long programme of events and online activities and we’ll be unveiling what we’ve heard.”

There will also be an “ELR Village” at the event with stalls, presentations, workshops and interactive games.
