New mayor for Stamford Town Council

A man with a love for Stamford has been appointed the town’s new mayor.

Independent town councillor David Taylor has been voted into the role after his predecessor, Gloria Johnson (Con), completed her time in office. Coun Andy Croft (Ind) is now deputy mayor.

David’s wife, Karen, will be his consort.
