Plans to build an Aldi supermarket and 31 new homes off Cherryholt Road in Stamford are both set to be approved by South Kesteven District Council

Two planning applications which could dramatically change the east side of Stamford are set to be approved next week.

Supermarket chain Aldi hopes to build a new store on Uffington Road while the Longhurst Group is seeking permission to build 31 homes off Cherryholt Road.

Both applications are recommended for approval by South Kesteven District Council's planning committee despite public opposition.
