HEALTH chiefs are looking to give a hospital a makeover.

Peterborough and Stamford Hospitals Trust wants to paint window frames and downpipes at Stamford Hospital.

The trust has submitted an application to renovate the front facade of the listed building to South Kesteven District Council.

Stamford Hospital is a Grade I listed building and the trust needs to get permission to do any work at the site.

Health chiefs say the work is necessary to keep the building looking neat and tidy.

The trust has not been able to give a total cost of the work but says it will be small.

The work is expected to take a few days and will not affect patients.
