Members of Deepings Camera Club are delighted after their work was accepted into an annual exhibition.

The results have just been released of acceptances for the North and East Midlands Photographic Federation’s annual exhibition.

Competition secretary Ken Bunch said this competition attracts thousands of entries from camera clubs throughout the region.

He said: “The standard is extremely high so just getting an image into the exhibition is quite an achievement.”

In the club, 19 members put forward 123 images. Three experienced judges score the images simultaneously to ensure a consistently high standard of marking.

Ken added: “We were delighted that a total of 25 images were selected for the exhibition, the work of ten individual photographers.

“Both Dave Stewart and Peter Lawrence had an image that was highly commended.

“Peter’s was given the accolade of the Selectors Award which is a very fine achievement.”

Later in the year all clubs will receive a CD of the accepted images, which is sure to provide an entertaining and informative evening in the club’s programme.
