The proceeds of this year’s Deepings Raft Race have been presented to two good causes.

The organisers of the event, which took place in August, handed £4,000 to Dementia Support South Lincs and £2,000 to the Exotic Pet Refuge during a presentation on Friday last week. A small donation was also made to the Air Cadets and Deepings Rugby Club, both of which helped on the day.

The presentation took place at Deeping St James Primary School, which won the banner competition.
