Deepings School pupils raise £12,000 for charities

A SCHOOL raised more than £12,000 for good causes.

Pupils and staff at The Deepings School put on a variety of events in the last academic year to reach the total.

The money will be donated to charities chosen by the pupils. They are: Amazon Ward at Peterborough City Hospital; Cancer Research UK (Race for Life); Macmillan Cancer Support; British Heart Foundation; Kidney Research UK; The Exotic Pet Refuge, Deeping St James; Help the Heroes; Wish Upon A Star and the Yellow Beetle Challenge.

Headteacher Chris Beckett said he was proud of the pupils.
