Supermarket customers nominated a support group for people with Parkinson’s disease to receive a £500 donation.
Waitrose customers picked the Stamford Parkinson’s Support Group as their favoured charity in the supermarket’s community matters scheme. As a result the store, in West Street, Stamford, donated £500 to the group.
A spokesman said the group was very grateful for the money, which would be used in the Stamford community.
