Driver assaulted in Deeping St James

Police are looking for witnesses after what they described as a “serious assault” in Deeping St James at the end of June.

It happened near Jubilee Park where a man was reported to have got out of a white Transit van and attacked the driver of a car with “an unknown object”.

A Lincolnshire Police spokesman said: “We are appealing for witnesses to a serious assault that happened on the mini-roundabout at Burchnall Close, Thackers Way, opposite the (Jubilee) Park, Deeping St James.

“It happened at approximately 9.45pm on Thursday, June 30.”

Anybody with information should call 101, quoting incident number 465 of June 30, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
