Audi A4 driver runs over police officer in Oakham after being stopped for having no insurance

The driver of an Audi A4 ran over a police officer's foot yesterday (Thursday, November 19) after being stopped for having no insurance.

Officers stopped the vehicle shortly before 8pm in Lands' End Way, Oakham, after it was identified there was no insurance in place for the vehicle.

But when officers were speaking to the driver and passenger, the car made off, running over the foot of one officer and making contact with his leg.
