Jet service stations are appealing to drivers to take part in a new ‘20 is plenty’ campaign.

The campaign aims to get drivers to reduce their speed to 20mph in residential areas to help improve safety for children on the streets.

Jet sites in Tallington, Morcott and Uppingham will all display a pledge for drivers to sign, participants will also receive a free Jet pen.

Teamed with road safety charity, Brake, the campaign will be running from Monday to Sunday, July 3 and will coincide with Brake’s annual Walking Businitiative.

A Jet spokesman, said: “We are delighted to be bringing the campaign to our local area.

“Road safety is such an important issue for local families so we hope to see our community join together in support of this by pledging to drive at 20mph or below in built -up areas.”
