Earlier bin collections by Rutland County Council due to the heatwave
Bin collections in Rutland will take place at a slightly earlier time tomorrow (July 25), in response to weather forecasts predicting extremely high temperatures.
In order to protect crews collecting household waste and recycling in Oakham, collections tomorrow will begin at 6am, rather than at the usual time of 7am.
Residents are asked to make their bins available for collection at the slightly earlier time of 6am.
Collections will return to normal from Friday (July 26).
This is to make sure that contractors can complete their routes before the hottest part of the day.
