Planned strike action on the East Coast rail line this bank holiday Monday has been suspended and Vigin East Coast services will continue as normal.

Network Rail has informed Virgin Trains East Coast that the planned industrial action for Monday and Tuesday, May 25 and 26, has been suspended.

Virgin Trains says the normal timetable will run on those days and normal ticket restrictions will apply to tickets purchased from May 22.
