Baston Church of England Primary School pupils take part in mass walk

Almost all the pupils at Baston Church of England Primary School took part in a mass walk to school on Tuesday (May 21) last week.

They met at The Barn and walked to school to celebrate being awarded silver for their sustainable travel plan and support their application for Green Flag status.

Rebecca Mills, headteacher, said: “The walk was really great and we had great support from both our parents and the pupils.

“Our school council has had a real push towards creating a more eco-friendly school and we’ve already got solar panels on the roof of the school.

“We also made the Lincolnshire Young Environmentalists final in Lincoln and although we didn’t win, we came back with ‘high commended and £150.”
