YOUNGSTERS got the chance to experience Indian culture when a special visitor dropped by their school.
Children in Year 2 at Bourne Westfield Primary were visited by Sunita Patel, from the county council, who works to increase children’s understanding and knowledge of religions and cultures.
The children completed different types of Indian artwork, using stencils and powder paint, chalks and paint, as well as coloured rice and spices.
The day ended with some traditional Hindu stories and with the children asking questions about Indian life and the Hindu religion.
Head of Year 2 Laura Pipes said: “The children produced some beautiful art work and all participated enthusiastically.”
