PRE-SCHOOL children are enjoying life in a brand new building.
The purpose-made classroom at Barnack Preschool was officially opened on Saturday by Miranda Rock of the Burghley Family Trust.
About 60 people were there to see the new building unveiled, including parish councillors and staff past and present.
The scheme was made possible by donations and grants totalling £93,000, of which £80,000 came from Peterborough City Council, £5,000 from Barnack Parish Council and £2,000 from the Burghley Family Trust.
Chairman of the preschool committee Mark Blackmore said: “The new building looked glorious, complementing its garden setting and festooned with decorations.
“I would like to praise the efforts of the committee, other volunteer parents and the staff who had dug deep to finish the project - a real community spirit and a good example of the ‘Big Society’.”
