Charles Read Academy in Corby Glen has received more than £245,000 to improve sports development at the academy.
Charles Read was given the grant by Sport England, with the remaining money being made up by the academy’s sponsor, the David Ross Education Trust.
The money will be used to build a 3G all-weather pitch, brand new netball and tennis courts and floodlighting.
The facilities will also be open to the local community on evenings and at weekends.
The building work will begin in the new academic year with completion expected for mid October.
Acting principal Robert Sloan said: “Sport is something we take great pride in at Charles Read.
“These facilities will not only help us to further improve our sports enrichment but they will be of huge benefit for the entire community.”
