School staff and pupils are celebrating after receiving several top awards.
Stamford Welland Academy was awarded the Secondary Geography Quality Mark and the International School’s Award during the autumn term. A group of staff also received accreditation as lead practitioners.
The Quality Mark from the Geography Association is valid for three years and recognises excellence in teaching and learning in geography. To achieve the International School’s Award Stamford Welland had to prove that it runs a number of international activities throughout the year, and that there was an on-going international theme running throughout the school.
And the lead practitioner status recognises how school staff have developed professionally through a range of methods.
