YOUNGSTERS got their wellies on to celebrate this year’s harvest.
Pupils wore boots of all shapes, colours and sizes to Edenham Primary School on Wednesday last week in return for a donation to Farm Africa’s Give Poverty The Boot campaign.
During the afternoon, the school led a family service in Edenham Church, joined by children, staff and parents from Edenham Pre-School.
Children read poems or prayers they had written, sang songs or acted out a short play while dressed in their wellies.
Headteacher, Kris Radford-Rea said: “In the past at harvest time we have supported local foodbanks but in more recent years, we have seen the number of food gifts become less and less so we decided to do something different.
“The children were really enthusiastic and raised a brilliant £250.”
