IT was a special celebration for Santa at the Ketton Primary and Ketton Pre-school Christmas fair on Saturday.
It was the 21st year that he had been visiting the village for the annual event.
Pre-school helpers collected toys from parents and decorated the grotto.
Pre-school manager Penny Butcher said: “The first little girl who went in to see him was called Anna Winterton and she was so excited it made it all worthwhile. It brought a tear to my eye.
“It is hard work but it is worth it to see the children so excited.”
The grotto raised £224 which will be spent on toys for the pre-school.
