Pupils got an insight into the world of employment at a careers day.
Education group Bright Futures visited Stamford Welland Academy on Monday. They taught pupils how to present themselves to potential employers, held quizzes, novel activities, and construction and trading challenges.
Year 8 pupil Ella Flatters said: “This is the sort of time when we begin to think about our GCSE subject choices, and it means we start thinking about what we want to do when we’re older.
“The lessons and the activities were fun, but also gave me a much better understanding of what employers are looking for, and how to give myself the best chance at getting the job I dream of.”
