A headteacher has moved to reassure parents following rumours concerning a member of staff.
In a letter sent to parents yesterday, principal of Malcolm Sargent Primary School in Stamford, Tristan Revell, said: “The school has been made aware of allegations concerning a person employed by the school. In line with school policies this person is not currently in school.
“Rumours and speculation at this time can only upset the wellbeing of our children and potentially compromise any investigation of these allegations which may be necessary.
“Our primary concern, as ever, is the welfare and care of the children at the school and we are not able to comment further on this matter.”
