A CHILDREN’S author paid a visit to Uppingham Primary School to help inspire a new generation of wordsmiths.
Michaela Morgan held writing and poetry workshops with each of the classes based around a pirate theme.
The aim was to increase the children’s interest in reading, writing and literacy.
Mrs Morgan said: “It was a wonderful day and having worked in schools around the world, it was a privilege to visit such a well-run school with such polite children.”
Mrs Morgan is pictured above with some of the Uppingham pupils.
