A MONITORING board has praised students who put together a DVD for prisoners.
Media students at New College Stamford put together the five-minute DVD to provide information for prisoners at HMP Stocken.
The Independent Monitoring Board, which is a voluntary service appointed by the Secretary of State, monitors the condition and management of the prison service to ensure the best interests of the prison staff and its prisoners are served.
Kevin Moody JP, the south Lincolnshire bench chairman, said: “We are delighted the students at New College Stamford have planned, filmed and produced a commercial quality DVD that introduces our service to all prisoners and the staff.
“It’s been a challenging task because of security measures but the students and the staff have delivered a most useful and professional product.”
Course co-ordinator Yvonne Davison-Clissit said she the project was an “extreme test” of the students skills.
