Nursery staff are holding a consultation event to explain plans to move into a new mobile classroom.

St Augustine’s Primary School in Kesteven Road, Stamford, wants to build the new room to house The Mulberry Bush and Cherry Tree nursery.

Pupil numbers are increasing so the school wants to use the nursery’s current room to deal with the expansion.

Staff at the nursery are holding a public consultation in the school hall between 3pm and 5pm on Monday, April 22 to explain the plan to neighbours.

Manager Georgie Brock said: “The consultation is to ensure that neighbours aren’t alarmed by the prospect of extra cars.”

Leaflets have been sent out to properties that might be affected by the new classroom.
