SCHOOLS, clubs and nurseries are set to receive donations of sports equipment.

Customers at Sainsbury’s in Exeter Street, Bourne, collected 178,045 Active Kids vouchers in store between February 9 and May 31.

They were collected across 18 schools, clubs and nurseries in the town and they will now be exchanged for a range of new sports equipment.

Store manager Karl Cunningham said: “Our customers have really helped make a difference to schools, clubs and nurseries across the Bourne area through donating Active Kids vouchers this year.

“We’d like to thank them for their support in our campaign and we hope organisations are happy with this year’s array of Active Kids equipment, which we hope will make a positive contribution to their learning and wellbeing.”

Since the campaign began in 2005, Sainsbury’s in Bourne has helped to donate £938,301 worth of equipment to schools in the area.
