A SCHOOL has won an award for its commitment to using music in class.
Pupils at Bourne Abbey Primary Academy received a silver Sing Up award after impressing judges with their enthusiasm and talent for singing.
The Sing Up scheme encourages teachers and pupils to use songs as much as possible in their lessons to make them more fun.
The school’s head of music Laura Collins said: “The children have been using singing in all areas of the curriculum to enhance their learning. I am immensely proud of them all for their hard work and effort to show their talent and enjoyment of singing.”
A spokesman for Sing Up said: “It is fantastic to see that singing is such a major part or school life at Bourne Abbey.”
