BUDDING young scientists from Great Casterton and Empingham Primary Schools spent a day learning about space and the conditions astronauts face.
The Year 4, 5 and 6 pupils visited the science department of Casterton Business and Enterprise College, to get a taste of working in a science lab.
Prizes were awarded to the best and most cost effective methods of keeping warm.
Ten-year-old Olivia Kibblewhite said: “Today has made me more excited about coming to Casterton in September because it has given me a little taste of what it will be like when I am here.”
Head of science Jonathan Pears said: “Their enthusiasm and interest was great and they thoroughly enjoyed being in a real science lab.”
