A student is appealing for sponsorship to help create a feature-length film.
Jake Humbles is midway through his final year studies for a media production degree at Coventry University.
Jake, 21, of Stephenson Way, Bourne, said: “Once it’s finished we will be sending the film to all the film festivals we can think of and will be holding an event at the Bafta Members’ Club in London to showcase all the films made by Coventry students.”
Since October, Jake and his team have come up with a plot for their film, called Latitude, and are now putting the finishing touches to the script before holding casting auditions.
The story is based around geocaching, a global treasure hunt, and follows two characters on a road trip from San Francisco to Los Angeles as they search for the ultimate piece of modern technology.
The team have booked their flights to America and will start filming on April 9 for 10 days, with Jake taking on the role of director of photography.
To produce the 90-minute film the team needs to raise £7,000 and is appealing for sponsorship to reach their target. Anyone interested in supporting the film can find out more at www.latitudethemovie.com
