A by-election will be held to fill a vacant seat on Rutland County Council.

Should more than one person stand, voters in the Whissendine ward will have the chance to vote for their new representiative between 7am and 10pm on March 3.

The election was called after former Lib Dem councillor Sam Asplin resigned because of ill health.

Potential candidates can collect nomination packs from the Electoral Services Team at the council or at www.electoralcommission.org.uk.
