A council is in the early stages of developing a plan to deal with disasters.

Stamford town councillors are formulating an emergency and flood plan to make sure the town is prepared for serious incidents.

The plan will specify how the town would respond to disasters and examine the potential roles involved and organisations best placed to assist.

A presentation on emergency plans will be given by the Lincolnshire Emergency Team in the town hall in St Mary’s Hill at 10am on Wednesday.
