End of an era as Bourne-based children's theatre group performs its last pantomime on Friday and Saturday




A Bourne children’s theatre group that has been running for 12 years, will present its final pantomime on Friday, January 17 and Saturday, January 18 at South Holland Centre in Spalding.

Bryony Hurst of The Hurst Children’s Theatre Group said: “It has been such fun working with so many local children over the years and being able to give them the opportunity to perform on a stage; I am going to miss them very much. We hope to make this final show the biggest and best of all.With plenty of laughs and audience participation, Cinderella is the best traditional pantomime for all the family.”

Made up of about 45 children with ages ranging from four to 18 years, the script was written by Mike Hurst with his usual sharp wit.

Pantomime joy continues withSleeping Beauty by Oundle Amateur Theatrical Society (OATS) at Victoria Hall in Oundle until Saturday, January 18.

OATS has been staging productions since 1986 with many successful pantomimes and shows behind them. Tickets are available from OATS or 01832 274734.
