Young dancers audition for the English Youth Ballet production of Authora's Wedding and Ballett Etudes at the Corn Exchange Theatre in Stamford




About 90 hopeful young dancers took part in the English Youth Ballet auditions at Stamford's Corn Exchange Theatre.

The dancers, aged between eight and 18, were auditioning to join the company of Authora's Wedding and Ballett Etudes at the Corn Exchange between October 23 and 25.

Janet Lewis, director of English Youth Ballet, said: “Well done everyone - I have really enjoyed watching you all today in the auditions.

"The level of concentration and focus has been excellent.”

Dancers selected from the audition will take part in an intensive and rigorous rehearsal schedule for the production, giving the dancers a unique insight into the life of a professional ballet dancer.
